Do you ever log into your social media accounts to Do you ever log into your social media accounts to post something for your reflexology business, to see a post from someone else which leaves you feeling deflated, sad, upset or inferior? Have you noticed that the same accounts trigger feelings of imposter syndrome, which make you question your abilities as a reflexologist? If you notice a pattern where the same account(s) have a negative impact on how you feel and your confidence levels, don’t be afraid to unfollow them. Try to follow accounts which make you smile, inspire and educate you, not ones that drain you. This will help you to post content with more confidence on your reflexology business social media accounts, as you will feel happier with your own unique style and business journey. Remember, you are in control of what you see in your feed and who you follow, so make sure it is content that makes you feel great! Kelly ☺️

Tuesday Tip When you are busy in the treatment r Tuesday Tip When you are busy in the treatment room before Christmas, it is easy to forget to check your DMs on your various social media accounts, meaning you may miss a new enquiry, a treatment booking, or other opportunity. Your inbox provides a great place to connect with your clients and potential clients to truly grow your business. So, remember to carve out a few minutes each day to check your DMs and to respond to any enquiries. I tend to check mine in the morning before treatments and then later in the day. How often do you check your messages?
Community Question At the beginning of the month, Community Question At the beginning of the month, I invited the LR community on Instagram to ask their business questions via Instagram Stories, and the great question shown below was submitted. “How can I attract loyal clients to my business?” Attracting loyal clients is a great way to keep a reflexology appointment diary busy. Here are some of my favourite ways to attract loyal clients: (1) Provide excellent customer service from the moment a client contacts you (remember first impressions count). This high level service should be continued in the treatment room and beyond. Every touchpoint a client has with your business can help to build a loyal client/practitioner relationship. For example, is it easy for your client to book an appointment? Can they find out information easily about your prices? Is the treatment room easy to find? Is the treatment room warm enough? Think about every step a client may take with your business and how you can deliver excellent customer service to them. Bonus Tip: Also, remember to continue this excellent customer service not just at their first treatment with you, but all treatments. Sometimes, business owners become complacent after time and don’t focus on the smaller details at subsequent appointments. However, making a client feel special every time will help you to gain the client loyalty you desire. (2) Communicate effectively and listen to their needs. Providing clear communication and listening to their needs will help to build a positive, professional relationship and build trust in your business. (3) Exceed expectations. What could you do to provide something additional to their experience with your business? (4) Stay connected to them. Create an email newsletter so clients can subscribe and receive updates about your services. This is a great way to stay connected with your client base, build trust and maintain the professional relationship with them. Reflexologists: Has your social media engagement r Reflexologists: Has your social media engagement reduced? If you are nodding in agreement to this question, please don’t worry - you are not alone. My grid post engagement on Instagram has definitely seen a dip. Each year in the weeks before Christmas, many small businesses notice a dip in engagement and visibility on social media, for a number of reasons. (1) Larger brands spend more on social media advertising, which can make it more difficult for smaller brands to be seen. (2) Your reflexology clients will be spending less time online as they prepare for Christmas. They will be out socialising with friends and family, attending Christmas events, shopping and preparing for the big day. You, too, may notice you spend less time online during this period. This pattern of behaviour happens each year, so to help it is important to be strategic about when you post and the type of content you are sharing. To boost your engagement and achieve your goals, you could: (1) Adjust your posting patterns - think about when your clients will be online during this time and post then. (2) Think about the problems your reflexology clients are experiencing and post content to support them. (3) You can also use this time to plan fabulous content in preparation for the start of 2025. (1) Send an email to your contacts on your email newsletter list and share your appointment availability with them. The email will act as a gentle reminder about your fabulous treatments. If you have not got an email newsletter, now could be the time to create one. They are a fabulous marketing tool to stay connected to your clients and reengage clients who may not have visited you for a while. (2) Give a talk to a local group. Presenting to a local group who are relevant to your target audience is a fabulous opportunity to promote your treatments, build trust with a new group of people and market your business. This is one way that really helped my business to grow. (3) Check your links on social media to make sure they are working and correct, so that new clients can contact you easily to book their appointment. (4) Update and refresh your website to boost your SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Making updates to your website is a great way to improve your SEO, which will help you appear higher in the search engine results when people are looking for a therapist. Which ideas will you try?
